Gold Coast Waterways Authority has completed another major project to ensure safe access on the Gold Coast waterways.

A total of 27 large beacons have undergone maintenance and renewal works that included replacement of damaged hardware and reinstatement of protection systems to piles and columns. The beacons have also undergone a thorough blast and repaint.

A reliable system of aids to navigation plays a key role in guiding vessels safely through waterways, in the Gold Coast Seaway and the Broadwater.

The ‘before’ and ‘after the project delivery’ photos show the improved condition which will ensure longevity of these valuable assets.
