Strategic planning framework for consultation

The Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) is pleased to release the next elements of its strategic planning framework for consultation. 

The new Code and Guide, along with the new Mapping, are designed to assist everyone involved with making development applications for tidal works in Gold Coast waterways.

We value industry and community comments and views. Consultation on the draft of the new Code and Guide, and the test version of the new Mapping will run from 9am Monday 11 November until 9am Monday 25 November.

Consultation has concluded, thank you to everyone who contributed.

It clarifies agency roles across safety, environmental protection, pollution response, compliance and infrastructure, helping avoid confusion and duplication.

Overall, it’s a quick reference guide that supports coordination, accountability and effective waterway stewardship.
