Public Notice: Beach Access Restrictions at Sand Bypass System Jetty

Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) is conducting essential maintenance painting works on the Sand Bypass System Jetty. Due to the nature of the work, temporary diversions at beach access points will be required.

For safety reasons, we kindly ask the public to avoid the work zone and, where possible, use alternative beach access points until the project is completed.

GCWA will be monitoring the site daily, ensuring the safety of everyone in and around the work zone. The diversions will be in place, where required, between June and July 2025 from Monday to Saturday 7:00am – 6:00pm.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience while we carry out these necessary works.

Any damaged or missing aids to navigation such as beacons, buoys, markers or signs, should be reported as soon as possible on
