Name Our RangerBot Competition!

We have a new team member joining us in July and we’re inviting all Gold Coast primary school students to help name our new underwater RangerBot with the winner to receive a waterways prize pack valued at almost $600.

RangerBot is a novel, vision-based robotic tool developed by QUT to provide an extra set of ‘hands and eyes’ in the water.

RangerBot will help build a better understanding of the Gold Coast waterways below the surface. The GCWA team will use it for research, technical evaluation and monitoring in Gold Coast waterways.

The name must include the word ‘RangerBot’ and be symbolic of our waterways city and maritime industry.

The winning student will receive a family pass to Sea World and a 2.5 hour whale watching cruise (two adults & two children).

To enter, parents/guardians are to submit the student’s suggested name for the RangerBot & reason why they chose it via our online form. Competition closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 12 July 2020.
