Oxenford Pacific Highway pontoon and boat ramp upgrade project
The Gold Coast Waterways Authority is upgrading the boating facility at Oxenford.
THE IMPROVEMENT WORKS INCLUDE:
This project involved installing a new pontoon to the west of the existing boat ramp and expanding the existing boat ramp’s footprint by four metres to accommodate an extra lane. The works also involved minor repairs to the existing boat ramp.
BENEFITS
- Upgraded facilities such as the Oxenford site are an important part of ensuring safer, navigable access for waterway users, especially as demand for these facilities continue to grow on the Gold Coast.
- The new boat ramp lane and pontoon meets current standards and specifications.
- The additional boat lane and new floating pontoon contribute to the Oxenford and Coomera boating community’s development.
IMPACTS
- Temporary closure of some facilities while works underway.
- Access limitations during the works period.
